Colette Fellous
“I was born in Tunisia.
At 17, I jumped with both feet from the seaside to the middle of Paris: the Sorbonne, the Cinémathèque, the snow. At first, I was very cold. Then I discovered Georges Bataille, met Roland Barthes and wrote for him on L’Anus solaire. Later, weaving others’ words for France-Culture, I safeguarded my own, and not to lose this childhood, I described the heat and disorder of cities in two novels, Roma and Calypso. I’m still finding my way between hot and cold.”
