Pierre-André Valade

Pierre-André Valade  (b.1959 in France)

Pierre-André Valade is Musical Director of Ensemble Court-circuit, and is also a regular guest at international festivals throughout Europe, Australia, USA, and Canada. He is frequently invited by the leading European ensembles for modern music including Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, BIT-Twenty Ensemble of Norway, London Sinfonietta. He also conducted the Nash Ensemble at the famous Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. He made his debut as a symphonic conductor in 1996 with Olivier Messiaen’s Turangalîla-Symphonie at the Perth Festival, leading the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. In 2000, he made his debut with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre in London, and was subsequently invited by leading orchestras such as the Philharmonia, soloists of the Berlin Philhar-monic, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Aldeburgh and Huddersfield festivals in the United Kingdom, the Lucerne Festival, ‘Musica’ in Strasbourg, ‘Ultima’ in Oslo, the Sydney Festival, Montréal Nouvelles Musiques.
