Trombonist

Monique Buzzarté, trombonist, is an active freelance musician in the New York area. As an avid proponent of contemporary music, she has commissioned and premiered many new works for trombone alone and in chamber ensembles. She is a founding member of LULU, a bi-coastal composer/performer consortium. An author and educator as well as a performer, Ms. Buzzarté was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanties for her research on the brass compositions of women composers.
