Bruno Rastoin

Bruno Rastoin
Bruno Rastoin, visual artist and scenographer. Trained in the Visual Arts at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he was led far away from art salons and galleries. Diatope, the work created in 1978 on the public square of the Georges- Pompidou Art Center, would mark for him a turning point.

Thus, Iannis Xenakis, as a musician of light, paved the way for him to explore a three dimensional scenic theatre form, one of “space-music-light”.

Attracted by the various means of expression i.e. the visual arts, music, and living art forms, he created in 1985 a company engaged in creative happenings. From that day forward, all imaginable tools for creating or disseminating work, take part in a multimedia interaction.

Concurrently, he collaborated with composers such as Jacques Lejeune from the Groupe de Recherchés Musicales de Radio France, and Gérard Pape, Director of the Centre de Création Musicale Iannis Xenakis.
