A graduate of the Paris Conservatory and the Tchaikovski Conservatory in Moscow, Elena Andreyev (cello) plays both the baroque and modern cello. In addition to being a member of Les Arts Florissants and Le Grand Ecurie et La Chambre du Roy, she performs as a soloist and with various smaller ensembles. In the contemporary realm, a highly diversified activity leads her to collaborate with numerous composers (Aperghis, Pesson, Gabriele…) who have dedicated works to her, as well as more experimental forms such as with the group Wandelweiser from Berlin, Giovanna Marini or Fred Frith.
