Tobias Rüger

Tobias Rüger was born in 1965 in Berlin. He took saxophone lessons with Alfred Harth in Frankfurt from 1980-85 and studied music at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin from 1987-94. In 1992 he was involved in the production of the CD “Pausen aus berühmten Opern.” From 1994-96 he studied musicology at the Free University in Berlin. He wrote music for Hörspiele (Sender Freies Berlin/SFB, Norddeutsche Rundfunk/NDR, and DeutschlandRadio). He wrote music reviews for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and currently runs a weekly Jazz salon in Frankfurt.
